ISSL Reflections April 18, 2021, Nehemiah 2:11-20 Post 2

Take time to reread this week’s focus passage –
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Nehemiah+2%3A11-20&version=NRSV

III.
Having thought about how you would describe Nehemiah in a sentence or so, what do you name as Nehemiah’s most important character traits for you?

Does prayerful make your list? What about pays attention to what’s around him? Or trustworthy, or dependable, or detail oriented, or passionate, or covenant motivated?

Those things come to my mind. Do any of those traits come to your mind? What else? What have I missed?

What do you regard as Nehemiah’s most important trait?

IV.
Moving on a bit – what do you learn about Jerusalem?

About those who are asked to help Nehemiah?

About those who stand against Nehemiah’s efforts?

V.
If Nehemiah is to accomplish his task, what will he need?
